Invisalign® Frequently Asked Questions

This is a series of invisible teeth aligners. The most comfortable and most aesthetic way to achieve the perfect smile.
Braces can sometimes be hard for the patient to have, because of their bad aesthetic appearance. Also, dental hygiene is very demanding when you are wearing braces. With Invisalign, you want to have any of these problems. These aligners are completely invisible. You can remove them and wash them at any time.
You will get custom-made invisible aligners. Each of them needs to be worn for two weeks. This way teeth are moving little by little until we achieve our final goal. At the beginning of therapy, you will see the virtual treatment plan for you, made by Dr. Perez.
Invisalign aligners are made to fix minor orthodontic issues. Those patients that have a severe problem with their teeth position are not good candidates for this type of orthodontic therapy.
This can vary because every case and every patient are different. But, in most cases, the therapy will be done within 9-15 months.
You must wear them all the time, for 24h. The only time when you need to remove aligners is when you eat, brush your teeth and floss.
Since we want to move your teeth in a certain direction, it is normal that you feel discomfort. However, this cannot be called pain. When you put new aligner in your mouth, you will feel pressure for the first day of two. The rest of that period of 2 weeks, you will not feel anything.
This depends on your case and for how long the treatment will last. Invisalign has about the same price as regular braces, and Dr. Perez and her treatment coordinator can offer you some monthly payments. Also, you need to check your dental security policies, because some of them cover Invisalign therapy.
