Patients who are faced with dentures, especially the total and especially in the lower jaw, know what all the restrictions in a functional and aesthetic sense are, and how much they lose on the quality of life. Dentures are usually not stable enough, which prevents the consumption of all kinds of food, often their movement create a sense of discomfort and lead to irritation of the mucosa, and they also prevent the normal pronunciation of all the letters, thus creating numerous communication problems.
In such cases, the best solution is an implant overdenture. The advantages of such dentures are numerous; they are maximally stable, allowing the normal function of chewing all types of food, normalizing speech, reducing mucosal irritation, there is no unpleasant feeling of moving the dentures that often causes nausea, all of which significantly affect the quality of life of patients.
The procedure of insertion of the implants is very simple, performed in local anesthesia and is completely painless, and the dentures are placed immediately after the finished intervention so that the patients come out of our office with a completely normal function and aesthetics. Also, if patients already have their dentures, they can be “processed” by placing implant caps in them, which further makes it easier and reduces the cost of the entire intervention.
